Die Initiative wird die Zusammenarbeit von KMU mit Digital Enablern ermöglichen, indem diese für einen Monat ein Unternehmen in einem anderen europäischen Land besuchen, dessen Bedarf an Digitalisierung mit ihrem Fachwissen übereinstimmt.
DigitaliseSME ist eine „vorbereitende Maßnahme“, welche vom Europäischen Parlament gefordert wurde. Dies bedeutet, dass die Ergebnisse des Projekts die Grundlage für die Entwicklung eines umfassenderen EU-Programms bilden könnten.
